Nikhil Masters

I am a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Essex. My research is in behavioural economics with a focus on integrating interdisciplinary insights to better understand human decision-making.

I use a broad portfolio of empirical research methods including experiments  (lab and field) and econometric modelling to address causal questions.

Research areas include the role of emotions in economics and the Behavioural Economics of Music (BEM) - a new interdisciplinary research programme investigating decision-making related to music.
